Nathaniel Louis Tisuela

sup homie

what is empire.jpg?

It's a blog I am forced to make for my Humanities Core Honors Class at UC Irvine. It's about Empires, I guess.

.jpg is a common file type for images on computers. This blog is centered around the way Empire is seen in everything we see – most of which, nowadays, is on a screen. Hence the empire.jpg

Thus my goal is to make connections and illustrate how empires can be more abstract and influence us in our everyday lives. With the advent of the Information Age, the reach of empires has become more intimate and accessible than ever before. It is both a blessing and a cause of concern. By writing in this blog, I'm pushing myself to discover the ways empires touch us in ways we often overlook. I hope to spread the knowledge I gain as I pursuit the empire.jpg

Actually, that's a .mp4 file on the header.

I'm a student at UC Irvine. Zot zot, I guess. As a graduate from Inderkum high school, I'm originally from Sacramento, right at the edge of the suburbs where the farmland begins to stretch for miles.

Oh and my name, my full name, is Nathaniel Louis Crisostomo Tisuela

Nathaniel Louis is my first name. Don't call me that. Either Nathan or Nate – it's your choice.

On more of a side note, I try to keep most of the visual media that you see original. I've compiled a lot of footage of scenery over the years, and try to put them to use whenever I can.  It keeps bibliographies concise, too.
